Who Am I?blog
Well, let's see, I am a student of Jesus, an avid reader, and a lover of crisp fall days. In January 2001, I resigned my full-time position as an e-business Sales Manager with the IBM Corporation in Southfield, Michigan. Where I designed and developed e-business solutions for Fortune 500 & Fortune 1000 companies. After leaving IBM, I joined my church's staff (Vineyard Churches in Ann Arbor and Milan) full time as the Youth Ministry Assistant and IT Director. In September 2002, I was promoted to Youth Pastor for both the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor and Milan - a position that I held until November 2003. In October 2004, I was ordained Assistant Pastor for the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor. In addition to my work as a pastor, I also fill my time working, designing, and consulting with small to medium sized businesses as the owner of Digital Lighthouse Designs - a small consulting and web design shop. Right now, I live in the Ann Arbor area and love every minute of it. I wasn't sure whether a move to Ann Arbor would prove to be a good decision, however, God stepped in and set things straight. The move to Ann Arbor allowed me to connect with an amazing church that I call home. If you live in Southeastern Michigan and you are looking for a place where God lives and is alive in the people who attend, then look no further than the Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor . Our services are laid back and relaxed, but that's so that you can focus your time and energy on the One who deserves praise and worship. Our pastor is a young (actually, he is getting older now) and hip guy who preaches in jeans and a T-shirt during our weekend celebrations. So, the Vineyard is a major reason why I enjoy Ann Arbor so much. Plus that's where I met my wife, Maria. I can't begin to tell you how amazing this woman is, but in time I will continue to post more pictures and information about my sweetheart. I graduated from The College of Wooster, easily the best liberal arts college in the country. I don't just believe that, but others have made similar claims. My experiences at Wooster were amazing, probably the best four years of my young (now getting older) life. I experienced love, pain, epiphanies and just about every experience someone should have during their college years. My time at Wooster taught me valuable lessons about people, about life, friends and loves. At Wooster I met several great friends, folks I hope to be connected to for the rest of my life here on earth and hopefully in the next life as well. While at Wooster I was featured in several campus publications including those sent out to prospective students. My first feature was in our Admission's brochure for prospective students, called Conversations. After I created the College of Wooster's web site I was featured in two publications, our Alumni Magazine, Wooster, and the admission Magazine, Wooster Today, spring 1996. Some early history about me, I grew up in Washington, DC and went to DC Public Schools and graduated from HD Woodson, the Tower of Power, as it is called. Woodson got its name because it's a 7 story high school located in the N.E. part of the city. There I ran several small businesses as a part of my education in the Magnet school of Business and Finance. My favorite business was the "Morning Affair" a small operation where I served breakfast goodies to teachers, staff and students. Those were good times. Here is a working copy of my resume. From time to time, I will post photos of myself and friends of mine. Right now I have small collection of photos from College and my new life in the Midwest. Did you know that the first sign of spring in the Midwest is when Dairy Queen opens? |
